Microsoft ने Hyderabad में India South Central Cloud Region शुरू किया है। कंपनी के अनुसार यह AI workloads के लिए तैयार है और cooling के लिए effectively zero water का इस्तेमाल करने के लिए डिजाइन किया गया है।
Microsoft India Cloud Region को लेकर कंपनी ने भारत में अपने cloud infrastructure का विस्तार किया है। Hyderabad में India South Central cloud region शुरू किया गया है, जो Microsoft का भारत में चौथा cloud region है। इससे पहले कंपनी के cloud regions Pune, Chennai और Mumbai में मौजूद हैं। नया region AI workloads को ध्यान में रखकर तैयार किया गया है।
Microsoft के अनुसार India South Central को इस तरह डिजाइन किया गया है कि data centre cooling के लिए effectively zero water की जरूरत पड़े। कंपनी ने इसे अपने sustainability goals और बढ़ती AI computing demand के बीच महत्वपूर्ण infrastructure development के रूप में पेश किया है।
Hyderabad में क्यों बनाया गया नया Cloud Region?
AI applications के बढ़ते इस्तेमाल के साथ computing infrastructure की जरूरत तेजी से बढ़ रही है। Businesses अब cloud पर सामान्य applications के साथ-साथ generative AI, data analytics और machine learning workloads भी चला रहे हैं।

Microsoft के अनुसार India South Central region को effectively zero-water cooling के लिए डिजाइन किया गया है। कंपनी ने enhanced mechanical cooling और air-cooled chillers का इस्तेमाल करने की जानकारी दी है।
Water consumption को कम करना data centre infrastructure के लिए महत्वपूर्ण विषय बन रहा है। खासकर ऐसे समय में जब AI workloads के कारण data centre capacity तेजी से बढ़ने की उम्मीद है।
AI Workloads के लिए तैयार Infrastructure
नया cloud region शुरुआत से AI workloads को ध्यान में रखकर तैयार किया गया है। इसका मतलब है कि businesses Azure के जरिए AI applications और enterprise workloads को स्थानीय infrastructure पर चला सकते हैं।
Microsoft ने बताया है कि India South Central में early access के दौरान Adani Group, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank और PB Pay जैसे organizations ने interest और trials दिखाए हैं।
